Itinerary
Day 1

Day 2 - 3
Travel north central part of the country where the to see the historical monuments of the country. Climb the UNESCO Heritage Site Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the palace of 5th century famous for the world-renowned frescoes of the Sigiriya ''Maidens of the Clouds”.
Dambulla Rock Temple, a UNESCO Site and the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. It consists of five caves with painted walls and ceilings.
Safri jeep ride to see the elephants in Minneriya National Park or Kaudulla National Park.
Day 4
Explore the ancient ruins in the ancient capital Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site See the ruins of temples, palaces, public spaces and man made lakes which still provide water for agriculture in the dry districts.
Day 5 - 6
Nuwara Eliya is the summer capital of Sri Lanka. The colonial town and surroundings are set in misty mountainous central hill country which is famous for producing finest Ceylon Tea.
Stop by a tea estate and factory and enjoy trekking through the lush green tea plants. Learn how Pure Ceylon Tea is made.
Hakgala Botanical Garden is a paradise for nature lovers with flower beds, lawns, pavilions, and conservatories.
Trek the Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO Site, and enjoy the peak wilderness sanctuary contains the most extensive area of cloud forest still existing in Sri Lanka. The plains are popular for trekking and biodiversity.
Day 7 -8
Leave for Ella. Take the scenic train ride from Nanu Oya or Ohiya. The scenic train ride is so famous and considered one of the best train rides in the world.
Ella is a popular among day hikers, the small and not so hard hiking and trekking experience are not to be missed lifelong experiences. The two famous treks in the area are Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. The Ravana Falls and Secret Ella Falls are famous waterfalls in the area.
Day 9-11
Travel to the southern part of the country, the famous tropical beaches are here. Visit the Dutch Fort in Galle, one of the most popular UNESCO Sites in Galle. This was the main port in the west coast in ancient times and the center of Dutch rule in 17th century. The Dutch Museum and church are two famous attractions in Galle with Dutch hospital shopping arcade. Make a stop at a turtle conservation site and visit traditional mask and craft making workshops.
Day 12:
There is no itinerary planned for the day. After breakfast according to your departure time you will be transferred to Airport for your onward journey.
